Self Identity, Inferiority Complex and “n pow”

The need for power over others perhaps arises out of fear of being dominated by “the other”. If an individual were to see himself and others as total and self empowered individual(s) he would develop a sense of personal adequacy and therefore would be less inclined to try and dominate fellow human beings and would focus his energies towards self actualization.
The need to dominate perhaps arises out of a sense of insecurity which in turn arises out of inferiority complex arising out of mistaken sense of self (not recognizing himself as total empowered individual). And perhaps creation of ‘the other” is a “cultural defense mechanism” of the inadequate selves to acquire “sanctioned power”.
Thus sensing and realizing a healthy self identity of being a total and self empowered individual seems to be the route to self actualization and human harmony.

    Dear Sir,

In today’s society, an individual doesn’t know who he/she himself/herself is. Even if one tries to believe so, the related people force him/her to go with the crowd. My point of saying is, the root cause of one not identifying the ‘self’ is just because of the peoples’ self created problems. Had one realized the self, competition would not have come amongst each other. Even if it did, it’d have been up to the extent of companies competing each other. But sadly, apart from the companies, we have 5 year olds competing with each other, youth competing with each other (who come after the kids in the competition hierarchy), grown ups & so on. The so called competitive atmosphere created by the ‘over enthusiastic’ parents kill the child’s growth (actually stopping the child to discover himself/herself). Sadly it is high time parents realized this so that their following generations discover themselves.

The need for power can be attributed to the fact that every organism has a inherent tendency to survive in the environment or in other words we can say ” the survival of the fittest”. so it is completely matural for a human to pursue for the power in order to feel more secure regading his goal of fruitful survival in the environment
